Allison was born in Worcester Massachusetts, but was raised in Alabama and Georgia and Michigan, where she lives with her husband. Her happiest places are the sandy beaches of Savannah, South Carolina, and Lake Michigan.
She has acted in many plays and musicals, but made a career with a degree in psychology. She had a thriving practicing for fifteen years until her retirement four years ago so that she could pursue her dream of writing. Her debut novel is Black Eye, Blue Sky.
